Grand Island, NE — The Heartland Public Shooting Park hosted nearly 700 competitors from 42 states for the 4-H Shooting Sports National Championships on June 21-26, 2026, in Grand Island, Nebraska.

“The facilities and the space make Heartland Public Shooting Park a great place to hold the 4-H Nationals” said Steve Pritchard, Match Director.
Nine competitive disciplines include recurve and compound archery, small bore rifle and pistol, hunting skills, muzzleloading, rifle and pistol airgun, and shotgun.

“It was an honor to host the 4-H Shooting Sports National Championship at the Heartland Public Shooting Park for the 16th year” said Tom Busch, HPSP Manager. “The competitors, their families, and all the staff and sponsors that make this event happen deserve a huge thank you for a fun and safe match,” he added.

The Heartland Public Shooting Park, managed by Hornady, is one of the largest, most complete public shooting facilities in the Midwest with many recreational and competitive activities taking place every year. Amenities include world-class shotgun ranges, Olympic bunker trap, several handgun and rifle ranges out to 600-yards, archery ranges, action shooting bays, a 7-acre fishing pond and RV park.
