Olympic Bunker Trap

A World-Class Challenge, Right Here in Nebraska!

Heartland Public Shooting Park is proud to be the only facility in Nebraska offering Olympic Bunker Trap, also known as International Bunker Trap.

This exciting discipline differs significantly from American Trap. Instead of a single oscillating machine, Olympic Bunker uses 15 fixed-angle machines hidden in a trench (or “bunker”) in front of the shooter. These machines launch targets at speeds of up to 68 mph, with angles reaching up to 45 degrees, and can be thrown higher or lower than traditional trap targets.

Olympic Bunker also allows two shots per target, but with the increased speed and variation, it demands quicker reaction times, sharper focus, and refined technique. Shooters in competition take 125 shots (men) and 75 shots (women), making it a true test of endurance and precision.

Whether you’re an American Trap shooter looking to push your limits or just interested in experiencing a more technical version of the sport, Olympic Bunker Trap offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity.
