2026 Nebraska YESS
Conference
The purpose of YESS is to offer youth who are interested in competitive shotgun sports a competitive platform to compete in during the traditional school year.
YESS Conference Dates will be March 7,14, 21, 28, April 11 and 18 at Heartland Public Shooting Park (HPSP) in Grand Island NE. The YESS State Championship dates are April 25 and 26, also being held at HPSP.
All registration and scoring will be done on www.iclays.com.
Conference scores will not be posted on this website.

Weekly Shoot Status
Week 1, March 7
Awards and Award Calculations
There are 4 divisions: Senior Male, Senior Female, Junior Male, and Junior Female.
Weekly individual awards are 1st, 2nd, and 3rd awarded to Trap, Skeet, Sporting Clays, and Doubles Trap in each division.
End of Year HOA is the sum of Trap, Skeet, and Sporting Clays for
6 weeks. Conference Grand Champion, Conference Runner-Up, and Conference 3rd Place will be awarded.
If a tie occurs for end of year HOA, I will randomly pick an event (Trap, Skeet, or Sporting Clays) as a tie breaker.
Individual Event End of Year HOA is the highest score for Trap,
Skeet, Sporting Clays, and Doubles Trap. Conference Grand Champion, Conference Runner-Up, and Conference 3rd place will be awarded.
Shooter must shoot all 6 weeks to qualify for any End of Year
HOA awards.
Shoot Off Procedures
Trap
- I will pick a number between 1 and 10 and write it on the score sheet. Closest to that number can pick which post they would like to start from and so on.
- Shooting starts on 18yd line.
- Each shooter will shoot 10 clays, 2 clays from each post. Best score places.
- If the shooters tie, they will move to the 20yd line and so on, moving 2yds each time until they reach the 27yd line where they will continue to shoot until a winner is decided.
SKEET
- I will pick a number between 1 and 10 and write it on the score sheet. Closest to that number can choose where in the order they would like to start and so on.
- This will be miss and out.
- The shooters will shoot doubles (according to American Skeet) starting on station 3, then 4, then 5.
- If there are no misses or a tie occurs, they will shoot station 5, 4, and 3 and continue this process until the winner is decided.
SPORTING CLAYS
- I will pick a number between 1 and 10 and write it on the score sheet. Closest to that number can pick where in the order they would like start and so on.
- I will pick a station on sporting that was not shot in competition that week. The shooters will shoot 4 true pairs. Best score for the respective place’s wins.
- If a tie occurs after the first round, miss and out for true pairs will be implemented until a winner is decided.
DOUBLES TRAP
- I will pick a number between 1 and 10 and write it on the score sheet. Closest to that number can pick which post they would like to start from and so on.
- Shooting starts on 16yd line.
- Each shooter will shoot 10 clays, 2 clays from each post. Best score for the respective place’s wins.
- If the shooters tie, they will move to the 18yd line and so on, moving 2yds each time until they reach the 27yd line where they will continue to shoot until a winner is decided.
