Hunt Safe Sessions are offered by knowledgeable and dedicated volunteer instructors. Hunters ages 12 through 29 must have completed Firearm Hunter Education and carry proof on their person when hunting anything with a firearm or air gun. Archery Hunters ages 12 through 29 must have completed a separate Bowhunter Education Course and carry proof on their person when hunting Deer, Antelope, Elk or Mountain Sheep with a bow and arrow or crossbow.

Students ages 11 through 15 who have completed Hunter-ed and/or Bowhunter-ed online courses must attend the Hunt Safe Session in order to be issued a certificate of completion. If you’ve completed the online course in the past 12 months, your voucher is still valid for certification. Please note, students 16 and older are welcome to attend but this Hunt Safe Session course is not required for certification.

To attend, proof of completion from the online course is required. Certification can be provided for both Archery Hunter Education and Firearm Hunter Education but vouchers must be presented for the online courses to earn completion certificates.
