The Heartland Outlaw NRL22 Match is a precision rimfire rifle competition designed to introduce shooters to the NRL22 format in a relaxed, learning-focused environment. These outlaw matches allow participants to become familiar with the stages, equipment, and style of competition before sanctioned matches begin later this spring.

For this event, shooters will complete four of the five standard monthly stages for score. The format provides a practical introduction to the match structure while giving competitors the opportunity to develop their skills and gain experience with precision rimfire shooting.

Precision rifle shooting and the .22 Long Rifle cartridge are not often associated with one another, but that is the core philosophy behind the NRL22 format.
